William Meyer has been a permanent resident of Palm Beach since 1978. Following his graduation from The Wharton School, London School of Economics and Georgetown Law School, he became a member of the New York and Florida Bars and a specialist in real property law with a New York City law firm. He later became a graduate of Harvard Business School.
Bill is presently chairman of Meyer Jabara Hotels, which owns and operates 25 hotels from offices in Danbury, CT, and West Palm Beach. He was the previous CEO of Servico, Inc., a large publicly traded hospitality company and chairman of CRSA Holdings, which provided management and marketing services to 25 continuing care retirement communities across the country.
Bill’s real estate projects in Palm Beach County have been numerous and include office buildings, shopping centers, large raw land tracts, hotels, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, and a senior independent living community. Mr. Meyer is the former Vice Chairman of JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, and the former Chairman (now head of the Operations Committee) of Kravis Center of the Performing Arts. He is the immediate past Chairman of Quantum Foundation and is now Vice Chairman of the Jewish Community Foundation. He serves on the Board of Overseers of the School of Social Policy and Practice at University of Pennsylvania.
