Nine Palm Beach County Student Investment Teams Go into Shark Tank
Nine Palm Beach County middle and high school student teams will pitch their business ideas — just like on the Shark Tank television show — next month and compete for $15,000 prizes. The winning teams also will meet regularly with one of the four business people for a year to get their advice. Other teams could also be awarded lesser amounts at the competition planned March 17 at the Harriet Himmel Theater at CityPlace.
The four contributors who each contributed $25,000 to Palm Beach Philanthropy Tank are attorney Eric Becker, a resident of Jupiter, attorney William Meyer, Julie Fisher Cummings, who teaches a graduate course on child policy at the University of Miami, and Palm Beach Town Council member Danielle H. Moore.
