SOIL TO SOUL

As the 2020-2021 school year comes to an end, Alexis Bardy, a 2021 Philanthropy Tank awardee, partnered up with the Federation of Families of Florida, Inc., Healthier Glades, and Young Men of Distinction to put on the Soil to Soul event!

The event was designed to distract students from the strenuous online school work by providing them an outlet for creativity, mindfulness, and stress relief.

Through her program, StudentBodyHealth, Alexis taught the children that in the same way we have to give a plant its proper food, water, and sun, we have to give our bodies and minds adequate nutrition and rest.

Alexis is currently planning a follow-up meeting with the kids to check on their plant growth and personal mindfulness.
